John Doherty. This is a small but fabulous black and white portrait Signed picture of John Doherty the former Manchester United footballer. The picture is taken from the Manchester United player by player football book. This item has the playing career details below the image. This is a really nice example of the former Manchester United & Busby Babe footballers signature in blue ink. I had the pleasure of meeting John several times at MUFC former players reunion dinners where he happily signed items for me. Doherty played only 26 times for United between 1952 and 1958 mainly due to injuries. At the age of 23 he finally retired from playing due to a knee injury. John Doherty sadly passed away on the 13th November 2007. Very nice piece of MUFC memorbilia.
